High-Rise Residential & Commercial Buildings
Repetitive floor layouts make tableform ideal for condominiums, apartment towers and office developments, where the same table unit is reused across dozens of floors.

Introduction
The C60 / C48 / C25 Tableform System, also known as flying formwork, is a large pre-assembled falsework and formwork unit engineered to form a complete bay of suspended floor slab in a single lift. Unlike conventional formwork, which is assembled and dismantled piece by piece on every floor, a tableform unit is built once, cast, stripped as a single panel, and then lifted or "flown" by crane directly to the next bay or the floor above.
This makes it one of the most efficient formwork solutions available for repetitive slab construction, and it is why Era Scaffold's C60, C48 and C25 Tableform Systems are widely specified for high-rise developments, industrial buildings and large commercial projects throughout Malaysia.
The system is fully adaptable to different slab types and layouts, giving structural engineers and contractors the flexibility to standardise formwork across a project while still meeting site-specific load and geometry requirements.
How the System Works
Era Scaffold's Tableform System follows a straightforward, repeatable cycle that is central to its efficiency on site:
Table units are pre-assembled on the ground or at a designated assembly area, combining the C60/C48/C25 support frames, primary and secondary beams, and plywood or steel decking into a single rigid table.
The assembled tables are positioned under the slab formwork area, levelled, and locked into place. Reinforcement is laid, and the concrete slab is poured directly onto the table's decking.
The slab is left to cure to the required strength before the table is released, in line with the project's structural engineer's specifications.
Once cured, the table is lowered slightly using screw jacks or lowering heads, then wheeled out from beneath the slab and lifted by tower crane or mobile crane to the next casting bay, or flown up to the following floor.
The same table unit is repositioned and reused for the next pour, dramatically reducing the labour and material handling required compared to conventional formwork stripped and rebuilt from individual components.
This cycle repeats floor by floor, allowing contractors to maintain a consistent, predictable slab-casting rhythm across the entire building.
Where It's Used
The Tableform System is built for projects with repetitive floor plates and tight construction schedules, including:
Repetitive floor layouts make tableform ideal for condominiums, apartment towers and office developments, where the same table unit is reused across dozens of floors.
Tall, wide-span structures where tableform towers support the slab formwork between widely spaced columns, with mobile shifters used to fine-tune each table's position before casting.
Table units capped on top of columns across a full floor plate, ready to be flown by tower crane to the next level as the building rises storey by storey.
Once a slab has cured, crews use mobile table shifters to lower and wheel out the table units across the freshly stripped floor, ready to be lifted to the next bay.
A completed table unit lifted clear of the structure and flown by crane to its next casting position — the manoeuvre that gives the system its "flying formwork" name.
Table units erected and locked in place beneath the slab formwork, carrying the load across the bay until the concrete has cured and is ready to strike.
Because the table units are engineered for reuse, the Tableform System is particularly cost-effective on projects where the same slab configuration repeats across multiple floors or bays.
Engineering Data
Era Scaffold's Tableform System is built around our C60, C48 and C25 component ranges, each suited to different loading and span requirements:
All components are manufactured to withstand repeated erection, striking and crane-lifting cycles, and are compatible with Era Scaffold's wider Shoring System and Modular System ranges, allowing contractors to combine solutions on a single project where needed.

Advantages
Because tables are assembled once and reused across multiple pours, the Tableform System significantly cuts the manpower needed for repetitive formwork erection and dismantling — a major cost saving on multi-storey projects.
Table units are designed to be wheeled out and lifted as a single piece, removing the need to disassemble and reassemble formwork components between every pour.
The system adapts to a wide range of slab types, bay sizes and building layouts, making it suitable for residential, commercial and industrial construction alike.
Pre-assembly and crane-flying dramatically reduce the time required to prepare each bay for casting, helping contractors keep pace with tight construction programmes.
Built from the same rigorously engineered C60, C48 and C25 components used across Era Scaffold's product range, tableform units are designed to perform reliably through hundreds of erection cycles.
Questions
A shoring system is typically assembled and struck component by component for each pour, offering flexibility for irregular layouts. A tableform system is pre-assembled into a large, reusable table unit that is cast in place and then lifted as a whole to the next bay or floor, making it faster for projects with repetitive slab layouts.
Yes. It is one of the most common formwork methods for high-rise residential and commercial towers, where the same slab layout repeats across many floors, allowing table units to be reused efficiently from floor to floor.
Yes. Era Scaffold's Tableform, Shoring and Modular Systems share compatible C60/C48/C25 components, so they can be combined on the same project to suit different areas of a building.
Once the slab has cured and the table is lowered from the underside of the slab, it is wheeled out from the bay and lifted by tower crane or mobile crane to the next casting position.
